Liquid: a new digital media guide by Rovi

Rovi is the new name of Macrovision, the company behind the DVD content protection system. Rovi just announced Liquid, a media guide that connects users to "content". With Liquid, "content" can be anything: photos, music, Cable TV programs, free web videos or even online video services like Blockbuster OnDemand - the partnership has been announced today. Liquid can also interface with home networked devices via standard protocols such as uPNP and DLNA.

iLuv revealed two new in-ear headphone models today that are sure to please iPhone 3GS and iPod shuffle owners. The new headphones include the iEP515 and the iEP315, both of which act as upgrades to the headphones that come standard with Apple portables.

Other devices that support these headphones include the second-gen iPod classic, iPod touch and the fourth-gen iPod nano. The iEP515 is set to be a higher-end model with a translucent design and an ergonomic form.

The iEP 315, on the other hand, is much more basic and is expected to cost about $30. The iEP515 should cost around $60. Both headphone sets are expected to be available starting in August.
